It’s a sad day in New York City today, where mourners are gathering for the funeral of ‪#‎NYPD‬ officer Wenjian Liu.
But the tragic killings of officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu has led some NYPD cops to turn their backs – literally – on NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio. Police are reportedly in a work stoppage over what one NYPD leader called a “hostile antipolice environment” after months of Eric Garner and Michael Brown protests.
